Interior design project, in Castellón

Interior design and comprehensive remodeling

The objective of refurbishment project aims to completely redesign an urban dwelling of about 90 m2 with a rectangular floor plan and a ceiling that is barely 250 cm high. The program focuses on providing light, optimizing the distribution of all rooms to the current needs of the owners and improving storage capacity (also incorporating a dressing room). The house had to be timeless , warm and very comfortable, adhering to a tight construction budget, so the existing partitions should be preserved as much as possible. These are the premises for the integral design of this house from the 90s located in Castellón.

The distribution incorporates in the day area the living room, kitchen and a bathroom and in the night area 2 bedrooms, one of them with the bathroom en suite and the dressing room

Global interior design project

The kitchen design opens onto the living room, replacing the wall with a glass enclosure that allows the abundant natural light from the kitchen (facing south) to invade the rest of the day area (facing north).
Natural finishes are responsible for unifying the rooms and creating a balanced, homogeneous and serene environment. The main protagonist is the large-format porcelain in a marble finish, which acts as a covering for the furniture and the main rooms of the house. The vinyl flooring with a waterproof base in an oak finish unifies the home and provides warmth and luminosity.

Hall and living room design

The prominence at the entrance of the house falls on a sculptural element covered with 6 mm porcelain, which acts as a mirror with backlit lighting in the hall area. Along the same lines, the living room has other similar storage elements, all made of glossy Statuario porcelain by Cifre. The dining room table belongs to the Dizzie collection by Arper, which is complemented by the Moon upholstered armchairs by Capdell and the Dress lamps by Fambuena.

Kitchen renovation

Uniting with the kitchen countertop, a spectacular table is born on the peninsula that complemented with the Vondom Africa stools. The porcelain from the Touché collection by Inalco covers the countertops and their fronts (to avoid joints), as well as the pillar and the cantilevered table. A very practical and tidy kitchen is achieved, with a large storage capacity in which the brightness of a harmonious set stands out.

Bedroom interior design

The design of the main bedroom of the house takes as a reference a hotel suite. The space is endowed with a practical open (but independent) dressing room that on the other hand separates the bathroom from the bed area. The Statuario porcelain tile is used again to cover the back and the side of the carpentry element that makes up the dressing room, as well as the vanity top that is accompanied by an upholstered bench at the windows on the façade. The headboard that is also upholstered and backlit in the upper area is complemented by the integrated tables. Everything has been designed specifically for the project by Vitale.

A comprehensive housing reform project that transmits elegance and serenity at the same time. With a design that provides functionality, order and well-being, with careful lighting and unpretentious natural finishes.
